The first 'big' show really since the G1 Climax finals (if you dont count the Super J Cup, which was a Jr focused show) is in the books, and here are the main talking points from todays show. BUSHI is the NEW IWGP JR HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONAfter a 9 month reign as champion, KUSHIDA was finally dethroned by Los Ingobernables de Japon member BUSHI in a superb main event. KUSHIDA was in control of the action for the most part, until BUSHI used the referee as a shield for a top rope drop kick, leading to him hitting the mist and bringing LIJ leader Naito to the ring to help beat him down. Michael Elgin made the save to even up the odds, but in the end it was BUSHI who finally picked up the win and the Junior Heavyweight championship after hitting two codebreakers, one from the second rope and the final one from the top. He celebrated by holding the belt aloft and spraying the mist over it. Shibata is a mad man, but you already knew that.Katsuyori Shibata successfully defended his NEVER Openweight Championship against ReDragons Bobby Fish in the co-main event. the two traded stiff shots and submissions throughout, but the brutality of Shibata shone through when he his a huge headbutt, locked in the sleeper and then the PK for the win. After the match, Fish's teammate Kyle O'Reilly got on the mic and challenged Shibata, so we now know the next contender in what should be a vicious contest.
